DANA Energy Keen On Investing In Ghana’s Energy Sector.

Dana Energy, a Middle East oil and gas drilling company, is set to invest in Ghana’s recently discovered oil field as part of measures to help grow the country into one of the massive oil producers in the world.

The company’s interest in Ghana’s oil field advancement is motivated by the positive attitude the country has portrayed towards energy sustainability and political stability.

The Business and Development Manager of Dana Energy for Middle East and North Africa, Abbas Khodadadi Aski, said this during a business meeting with stakeholders in the petroleum sector.

Abbas and his group were in Ghana to explore the possibilities of investing in Ghana’s oil sector.

They held discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. K.K. Sarpong, and Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum Commission, Egbert Faibile.

Present at the separate meetings were a representative of the local partner of Dana Energy, George Quansah.

Mr Aski was optimistic that cooperation between the Petroleum Commission, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and Dana Energy in the development of the new oil fields and blocks would  be met.

He said his company has the biggest data platform on various field information for engineering audit adding that it had comprehensively done due diligence on Ghana to develop their oversees activities in Ghana in developing new oil fields or blocks.

“As an oil and gas drilling operator in the Middle East with massive experience with decades in executing many projects in upstream section, local and international, we are more than capable of executing the oil field agenda,” he added.

Abbas Khodadadi Aski said that Ghana’s quest in promoting and optimising energy operations on national projects, gives Dana the right approach to explore the African business landscape with Ghana as the first port of call.

He further said that with greater cooperation and understanding between the local partners, Dana Energy’s prospects will begin its operations in earnest.

“We want to be part of Ghana’s energy success story; a period where oil and gas will be harnessed in greater quantity for the total growth of the economy,” Mr Aski said.

Dana Energy team is convinced that with the best of industrial and governmental engagement it enjoyed during the period a new chapter is opened in the development of oil fields in the country.

The company pledged to use its expertise in oil and gas to improve local content in the industry.
